Prevention Specialist

Responsible for conducting health education and risk reduction activities to individuals at risk for HIV infection. Responsibilities include street and venue based outreach, HIV counseling and testing, peer education training, and community awareness presentations.Transportation is a must to travel between the agency and other needed resources by the client. Training will be provided as candidate will be responsible for conducting HIV testing and facilitating both group and individual sessions with clients. Ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of HIV prevention, be able to work some nights and weekends and be comfortable working with clients who identify as gay , transgender, bisexual and those who are at high-risk for HIV.
