Looking for an Electrical Engineer.Location: Lake Charles, LaDuration: 18 Mos contract Description: Hours per week: 40 Start date: 03Oct22 or when onboarding complete Duration of assignment: 18Months Onsite Worksite location: Lake Charles, LKO What are the shift hours? 8-5
• Evaluate and develop major projects and debottlenecks • Monitor industry trends and developments and recommend changes to current systems • Provide support for production engineering • Serve as a technical resource for the corporation • Develop and improve systems to maintain excellent process safety and environmental performance RESPONSIBILITIES: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to: Discipline engineering lead: manage technical team for the discipline, provides expertise in defining technical requirements and complete design. Identifies plant opportunities and develops project process design to improve refinery reliability, safety, environmental responsibility, optimization, and/or profit. Prioritizes Engineering Work Requests. Develops/Manages Process Design Department budget. Oversees the team in evaluating project feasibility and economics for alternate technologies. Reviews vendor equipment proposals, analyze bid tabs, and develop process descriptions. Reviews and field verifies. Process Sketches and P&IDs. Performs sizing of process unit equipment including; Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Control Valves, Relief Valves, Orifices, Regulators, Piping. Performs all routine engineering calculations (i.e. mass balances, energy balances, conversion calculations). Leads management of change and incident investigations as necessary. Develops or assists in individual equipment specifications and provides recommendations on technology/catalyst selections. Initiates new projects, . 10+ years of experience in project management of design engineering in the petrochemical industry. BS Degree. MS Degree. P. E License.
