Manage Lab operations and personnel

Manage plant customer compliant investigations, responses and issue summary reports

Support business initiatives as new products, customers and equipment are brought into plant

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in alignment with customer and regulatory requirements

Lead teams to identify and investigate quality problems, determine root cause and implement solutions

Participate in document review and approval (requirements, test plans, protocols, specifications, drawings, etc.)

Support general manufacturing operations

Maintain department budget/cost of quality/cost of nonconformance system

Maintain quality systems

Manage customer audits

Support customer requests for quality/product safety related information

Responsible for lab employee development through providing training, vision, empowerment and a commitment to excellence

Perform other duties as assigned by Site Director

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline

Minimum of five (5) years experience in Quality

Strong knowledge of film laminating and converting and/or extrusion preferred

Knowledge of ISO principles and methodologies

Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Strong computers skills, including quality system applications, spreadsheets and databases
