Honeywell PMT’s EFE organization manages the Capital Investment portfolio from inception to completion through Strategic and Annual planning and execution across $11 Bn Strategic Business Group of Honeywell.The Manager - Project Controls will report directly to the PMTE Project Controls Leader and will be based in the US Gulf Coast Region. The position will also manage a team of 4-5 professionals constituted of permanent and/or contingent staff with core skills in project cost and schedule management, project estimating.This is a key position within the Capital Project Controls team. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong partnership with the Project Execution and Project Development Directors, and other stakeholders in Supply Chain and Finance to drive project and portfolio controls ensuring PMT manages capital within plan for the assigned projects.The position is assigned projects from the overall Capital Project portfolio and is responsible for providing visibility of both risk and opportunity associated with the assigned projects / portfolio, made up of approximately $100M+ in capital annually, through effective management of estimates, cost reporting, scheduling and contract management. The role will be accountable for all matters pertaining to the control and management of the project portfolio in accordance with Honeywell standards, HSE guidelines, quality, schedule and financial goals to create superior financial value for the business. It is the responsibility of this manager to develop teams that own all aspects of the project controls working collaboratively with functions and internal & external stakeholders to deliver the best-in-class results and value to the business.Responsibilities:Effective use of EcoSys™ as the primary tool for PMT Capital Engineering Portfolio Management across all assigned projects

Contribute towards driving continuous improvement via new ideas and suggestions on use of technology and / or lean practices to assist project/portfolio managers in more efficiently executing the capital portfolio

Project Cost & Schedule Control: Governance and compliance of SAP project standards on all capital related activities on assigned projects; Governance of standard project reporting including dashboards, cost reports, schedules, engineering metrics and project team documentation

Responsible for leading the estimating in coordinating the development of accurate, timely and professional estimates when needed

Responsible on assigned projects for continued development of contracting strategies and regular cadence to ensure compliance and savings to Honeywell through lower contract risk and, subsequently, lower % of field changes

Responsible for contributing towards periodic maintenance and updating of engineering procedures, standards and document control databases

Coach and develop employees, including direct and matrix reports

Develop succession planning, talent roadmaps and employee development plans for the personnel reporting in to this position

YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s Degree

7+ years of experience as a People Leader in large and small project portfolio management

10+ years of overall industry experience

WE VALUEExtensive experience in project controls or project management

Significant experience with SAP, EcoSys, Primavera P6, Aspen, MS Project, MS Office, other PMIS strongly desired

PMI, AACEI, or other related industry training and credentials

Detailed experience with portfolio management, contract management, cost estimating, cost management, scheduling

Demonstrated communication & interpersonal skills

Comprehensive problem-solving skills

Effective presentation skills and organization skills

Ability to work independently, with teams and the ability to multi-task

Experience in change management, in working across functional lines and organizations is considered ideal

Six Sigma trained
