People • Customers • Trust Process Engineer Duties:- Responsible for providing process optimization and engineering support for the mill which will include but not limited to, compliance process coordination, lean projects, quality and product safety, and analytical and systems support.
- Develops and maintains methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.
- Ensure that mill rules are enforced and that company policies are followed.
- Coordinate the efforts of our outside resources to improve our operation by filtering and utilizing appropriate information.
- Schedule and supervise mill and contract employees as required.
- Conducts data analysis projects and uses data to make business decisions.
- Provide engineering services to maintenance and operating department personnel as required to resolve maintenance, technical, and equipment reliability issues.
- Establish and maintain safe work practices and safe work environment for coworkers and employees.
- Ensure that mill rules are enforced and that company policies are followed.
- Schedule and supervise mill and contract employees as required.
- Ensure that equipment files and databases are maintained properly.
- Understand equipment operation and function as required to determine preventive and predictive maintenance needs.
- Develop preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance procedures as required to insure equipment availability.
- Work with peers to effectively maintain equipment to achieve uptime goals as set by the department
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Develops plans, specifications, and reports.
- Schedule and supervise mill and contract employees as required.
- Ensure that mill rules are enforced and that company policies are followed.
- Works directly with senior engineers supplying technical expertise on capital projects.
- Makes actionable recommendations based on sound engineering judgment.
