Zuora Database Administrator

Description Robert Half is looking for a Zuora Database Administrator who loves the challenge of solving problems with multiple layers of complexity. This position is ideal for an ambitious problem solver who has highly tuned decision-making skills. The Database Administrator will be located in New Orleans, Louisiana and is a permanent opportunity. The role offers full remote or hybrid work flexibility.Major responsibilities

Fix Zuora database service outages when they happen, which can include after hours and weekends

Establish the baseline for Zuora system performance and detect deviation, suggesting and executing improvements to slow running queries

Provide guidance on Zuora database design, tuning options, and other possible issues

Handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all database instances across development, staging, and production environments

Minimize false alarms by appropriately configuring database monitoring utilities

Figure out the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes

Verify that SLA objectives for database server topology, configuration, and maintenance are met in design and execution

Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of API's

4+ years of database experience

Experience developing and supporting documentation

Understanding of production environments and being on-call

Experience tuning queries to improve performance

Storage and server hardware experience a plus

Strong relational database management systems expertise. You can write a query to do almost anything
