DescriptionSr. Manager/Manager, U.S. SME Field Sales Marketing, Prospect Marketing, GCSThe Lead Generation, Nurture and Enablement team is part of the Prospect Marketing organization in Global Commercial Services. This team is focused on being essential to the US SME Sales & Marketing distribution engine by providing high octane fuel to create new customer relationships. Annually, this team contributes more than 50% of Prospect Marketing’s annual goal.The Sr. Manager / Manager, US SME Field Sales Marketer will work to advance the team’s mission to deliver a best-in-class B2B marketing and sales experience to convert GCS’s most valuable prospects through our high-touch Field Sales channel. The individual will lead channel innovation & marketing operations for Field Sales teams with a focus on growing our US SME customer base while maximizing efficiency and overall profitability. The individual will partner closely with Sales & cross-functional teams (i.e. Product, Tech, Finance, Data Strategy & Insights, Risk, Lead Gen Marketing, External Partners, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to launch strategic initiatives to deliver an optimal prospect-centric B2B acquisition experience.The candidate will require the ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment, learn complex internal American Express systems/processes, collaborate across teams, influence across all levels of leadership and successfully manage many projects and deadlines at an incredibly fast pace.Responsibilities:Launch new “big-bet” marketing strategies related to lead-generation and lead-warming, offer needs, optimized products/solutions and relevant & compelling content/collateral

Leverage insights & data to identify potential gaps and market opportunities to optimize the US SME prospect experience with Field Sales

Oversee the marketing execution & channel operations work including scripting, email creatives, Salesforce updates, source code creation, etc.

Build and manage strategic relationships with Sales to consistently deliver on key deadlines

Engage, influence and advocate for Sales with all relevant cross-functional partners to gain buy-in and approvals necessary to launch strategic initiatives across the prospect decision making journey (from lead generation to conversion) including with Sales Leadership, Analytics, Marketing, Product, Pricing, Legal, Compliance, Tech, Salesforce, etc.

QualificationsQualificationsAt least 3-5 years of marketing experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing preferred (or equivalent)

Extremely detail oriented, yet able to handle multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment

Strong background in reporting, analytics & strategic insights

Creative, goal-oriented professional with a proven track record for driving innovation and setting effective plans to achieve targets.

Experience in project management with the ability to juggle many deadlines & work streams preferred

Collaborative self-starter with strong problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Customer-focused mindset; excited and passionate about creating a great sales experience

Understanding of US SME organization a plus
