The territory for this Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison role is:IL, IN, KY, OH, PA West.

You will be part of a newly created U.S. team of people who are empowered to work with autonomy, agility, and determination to deliver for patients. US Biogen Biosimilars Unit presents a unique opportunity for committed experienced professionals who are ready to unlock the potential of biosimilars to transform more lives.

The MSL will build long term peer to peer relationships with thought leaders, select US clinic & large group practices, payers and other stakeholders specializing in ophthalmology care, and other areas where Biogen biosimilar is developing and/or commercializing products.

  • Support Biogen advancing biosimilar clinical and research programs by delivering clinical, scientific, and technical education to the Ophthalmology community.
  • Cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships with influential members of the medical community to promote company, disease state and therapeutic awareness, in addition to serving as an advanced technical, scientific, and medical expert in the ophthalmology community for the assigned region.
  • Developing, coordinating and assuring implementation of Biogen biosimilar corporate, scientific, and clinical strategies with these thought leaders within academic, clinical, and healthcare organizations. These scientific exchanges will support and/or expand current therapeutic concepts, as well as ensure the safe and effective utilization of Biogen biosimilar product(s).
  • May support Biogen biosimilar research initiatives including Real World Evidence generation, and investigator-sponsored studies. They will also participate in and contribute to projects and initiatives that increase the value and productivity of the Medical Affairs team.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree is required. PharmD or PhD level is desired, not mandatory. Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Science Liaison is required for the Senior title/level.
  • Experience in the ophthalmology and/or in supporting biosimilar products is preferred.
  • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, once Covid restrictions are lifted including ability to travel overnight and occasionally in weekends.
