Position: Sous Chef

The Wilderness Road Hospitality Group is looking for the right person to fill the position of Sous Chef for our Culinary Team. The Bluebird is a Southern Farm-To-Table Café located in the beautiful small town of Stanford KY. We are renowned locally for providing naturally sourced, healthy, homemade meals of exceptional quality.

Responsibilities;

Alongside the Executive Chef, The Sous Chef is responsible for the creation of daily and weekly food specials, acting as a creative influence. Also responsible for maintaining all back of the house systems and managing the procurement of all food purchases. The role is directly responsible for food quality control, food cost control, and back of house labor management. The Sous Chef under the direction of the Culinary Director ensures all kitchen functions including safety, sanitation, and cleanliness are being fulfilled and are responsible for the training of kitchen staff and delegation of duties.

Skills that would be preferable:

3-5 years of casual or upscale dining experience.

A culinary degree is a plus.

Serv safe food certificate a plus.
