TheEHS Compliance Manager consults and communicates with department leadership and stakeholders, serves as the senior regulatory content and document expert as well as ensuring program compliance and quality. The EHS Compliance Manager has a broad understanding of EHS related regulations and referenced standards and the ability to research, outline, write, and edit new program content.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssists in and drivesGlobal EHS Compliance initiatives to include management systems and programs.Acts as a global resource to team members as a regulatory compliance subject matter expert. Researches global regulations and advises team members on implementation strategies.Understands, documents, and performs regulatory research in support of program compliance and consistent implementation.Works with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensureeffectiveprogram functionality.Maintainsand monitors program document management to ensure compliance, quality, and appropriateness of content. Maintains storage of documentation within shared drives and registers. Manages document review and approval process and assists authors with process steps. Collaborates with stakeholders to execute, review and/or revise document content to meet regulatory or organizational needs.Drives strategic and analytical initiatives to improve internal training processes and global training delivery. Develops creative strategies to design, plan, and execute scalable EHS training in alignment with Global EHS programs.Creates training content and ensures accuracy and appropriateness of content before publishing while maintaining a relevant online course catalog.Participates in data review and analysis to demonstrate trends and progress toward initiatives. Develops and analyzes program performance indicators to provide recommendations to management and key stakeholders.Promotes safety consciousness among team, partners, stakeholders, and account employees by providing accurate and informative data, participating in program awareness opportunities, giving timely feedback on program questions, and visibly supporting the overall EHS program(s).Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Minimum of 7 years of related experience.Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety, and environmental regulations and application in program drafting, editing, and implementation is essential. Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and/or compliance officers is required.Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and / or facility maintenance and management is preferred.Global EHS program experience is a plus.Experience with EHS record keeping and reporting requirements.Experience in development and administration of the training curriculum using a learning management system is preferred.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESAs required by local authority (if required). Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) - PreferredCOMMUNICATION SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communication skills. The minimum salary for the HSE Manager position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HSE Manager position is $160,000 annually.
