Job Description:Charge Nurse, 3E Tele, Stoke/Neuro unit.Unit Description:3E is a 19-bed telemetry unit. As a member of our unit, you will be working with patients who require specialized care due to cardiac and neurological conditions. You will be responsible for providing expert nursing care, monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.Shift: Part-time, NightsJob Description:Under the direction of Unit Director, Clinical House Supervisor, +/or Designee, provides supervision of workflow and staff for a designated shift in overseeing the efficient functioning of the department.- Assures the provision of patient care, by addressing performance, risk management, patient, family and physician issues/concerns as appropriate.- Role models caring behaviors in relationships with others.- The Charge Nurse is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.- As a clinical nurse, the charge nurse spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable.Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:- Active Kentucky RN license- BLS, ACLS and/or other designated unit specific certification training/requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or currently actively pursuing a BSN degree.
