Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our SOF CLSS Program. This program is critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment.As an Associate manager, you will lead engineering team based in Lexington, KY. The team is focused primarily on modifying existing rotary wing aircrafts (MH-47, MH-60, H-6) and integrating components into various platforms based on customer specifications. Your job will be to guide and manage the team to develop component and system designs based on customer requirements and interface control documents or other similar information. Make sure that all designs meet applicable military specifications, SAE, ANSI, ASME, and other related design and drafting standards. Upon design completion, you will monitor the support for the fabrication, installation, and integration of designs by working with the manufacturing and installation workforce as required.The chosen candidate is expected to perform the following duties for the SOF GLSS contract:- Manage all staffing needs (direct and contractor) associated with the RW Electrical Engineering team- Manage the functional team resources to ensure tasks are prioritized and resourced- Support engineering proposal development including Basis of Estimate (BOE) and Schedule- Coordinate with Cost Account Manager (CAM) to define monthly team inputs in support of project cost and schedule baselines- Coordinate mechanical engineering task assignments with the program Chief Engineers and other functional managers/leads as requiredBasic Qualifications: Experience with aircraft wiring and electrical systems Familiarity with SAE AS50881 design guidelines Ability to perform electrical analysis (loads analysis, RF Insertion loss, etc.) Ability to create and review various electrical drawings (wire diagram, termination, cable harness, routing/installation) Experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D drafting tool Experience with Teamcenter or similar PDM/PLM software tool Experience creating and checking ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment to meet objectives Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Professional experience and/or specialized training in related field.Desired Skills: Leadership skills (Full Spectrum Leadership characteristics) Familiarity with MH-47, MH-60, other similar rotary wing military aircraft Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) system design and component selection Experience working in an aerospace design environment with exposure to DoD customers Experience with an engineering change process and/or configuration control process Experience with modern electrical diagramming tool (Mentor Graphics, Electre, or similar) Experience with Catia V5 or other modern 3D parametric modeling program Familiarity or experience with 3D wire/cable routing Experience with Labview and/or Matlab programming environments Familiarity or experience with Visual Basic (VB) programming or software tool customizations Experience with production, manufacturing, and installation support BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited universityBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
