Application Product Engineer

REPORTS TO: Director Advanced Manufacturing & Technical Engineering

1. Support sales department from a technical role.
2. Understand future product performance and application needs to develop new products to support future requirements.
3. Track and maintain adherence to required standards and testing requirements (ASTM, UL, etc.).
4. Develop testing plans to approve new products and applications.
5. Understand current manufacturing capabilities, extrusion, and future needs.
6. Responsible for leading new product development and product improvement projects.
7. Responsible for project management, testing, budget preparation and manufacturing trials.
8. Develop and update all technical literature utilized by sales and customers.
9. Support sales with customer quality complaints. Lead quality investigations by working closely with manufacturing team, document root cause and corrective actions, and audit processes.
10. Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality by promoting continuous improvement activities.
11. Collaborate with manufacturing management, other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
12. Adhere to company's rules and regulations.
13. Other duties as assigned.

2. Working knowledge of various construction methods utilizing HDPE conduit for power and telecom projects.

1. Previous working experience as an Applications/Product Engineer for (5) year(s) or equivalent work experience.
2. BS degree in Engineering or Technology or similar relevant field or equivalent work experience.
