REPORTS TO: Director Advanced Manufacturing & Technical Engineering
PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Support Day to day production, ensure safety, quality and production goals are met, and Application/Product Engineering to support future growth plans ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Support sales department from a technical role.
- Understand future product performance and application needs to develop new products to support future requirements.
- Track and maintain adherence to required standards and testing requirements (ASTM, UL, etc.).
- Develop testing plans to approve new products and applications.
- Understand current manufacturing capabilities, extrusion, and future needs.
- Responsible for leading new product development and product improvement projects.
- Responsible for project management, testing, budget preparation and manufacturing trials.
- Develop and update all technical literature utilized by sales and customers.
- Support sales with customer quality complaints. Lead quality investigations by working closely with manufacturing team, document root cause and corrective actions, and audit processes.
- Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality by promoting continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing management, other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Adhere to company's rules and regulations.

- Previous working experience as an Applications/Product Engineer for (5) year(s) or equivalent work experience.
- BS degree in Engineering or Technology or similar relevant field or equivalent work experience.
