Procurement Specialist

Location: Georgetown, KY Description: Our client is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist

• 3+ years in procurement or purchasing Lead activity to procure parts for stamping die components
• Develop sourcing strategies, which result in supply base optimization
• Negotiate with supplier partners for cost savings and avoidance utilizing competitive bench-marking of detailed cost elements and analysis of cost variance
• Lead annual price review activities with suppliers to promote deep understanding of cost drivers with a focus on manufacturing improvement
• Participate in early die design work to optimize the design through value engineering and improvement
• Establish and assess cost standards to reach a consistent, efficient approach to pricing, including timely payment issuance
• Regularly report out to top management on cost
• KPI's including identifying and negotiating all design changes
