Quantam Solutions provides IT solutions and consulting for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We offer a competitive hourly wage, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. We're currently seeking a Senior Microsoft Developer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Cabinet for Economic Development.

The selected candidate must be able to work onsite three days per week in Frankfort, Kentucky 40601, and two days remote. Starting the project remotely is not an option.

JOB DESCRIPTION:The Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development is seeking to hire a Senior Microsoft Developer to join the IT system development and implementation efforts. Candidate will provide services in developing and delivering software applications. If suitable candidates are found, we will try to fill the position as soon as possible, with the possibility of keeping the resource for long term.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop functional specifications and translate into working code.
Estimate the development tasks/effort involved in completing requirements.
Prepare analysis, design, and program documentation.
Develop web-based applications and services using .NET 6 and SQL server.
Design and develop the web UI.
Design and develop RESTful services and Windows services.
Conduct code review of modules.
Expected to work on multiple tasks and initiatives concurrently while being accountable for driving success of the application development projects.
Responsibilities include systems analysis, coding, testing, and implementation of web application programs, services, and data interfaces.
Design, develop and implement n-tiered web-based applications using .NET technologies.
Analyze user requests and work with business users in developing or modifying existing programs.
Adhere to industry standards and software best practice guidelines.
Provide first level of desktop support as required.

REQUIRED SKILLSET:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Engineering.
5+ years of recent experience as a developer on Microsoft platform.
Strong knowledge on .NET 6, MVC Framework, Razor Pages, Visual Studio, and SQL Server.
Strong experience in C# and .NET technologies, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Web APIs.
Strong client coding skills using Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, Web API, CSS, JSON, HTML, and Bootstrap.
Experience with developing RESTful services and Windows services.
Experience in developing reports in SSRS or any other standard reporting tools.
Strong application debugging and troubleshooting skills and systems analysis.
Knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
Experience building and supporting applications running in a highly distributed manner.
Experience in developing and deploying applications in distributed and shared environment.
Experience in full development lifecycle phases.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.
