Main Console Operator/Service Desk Technician for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Commonwealth Office of Technology's Enterprise Operations & Monitoring Branch.JOB DESCRIPTIONCommonwealth Office of Technology is seeking (1) contractor position for the Enterprise Operations and Monitoring Branch in Frankfort. See below for type of position, job description, and hours needed. SHIFT\HOURS4th Shift - 7:00am to 5:30pm with a half hour lunch, Saturday through Sunday and Tuesday through Wednesday.POSITION REQUIREMENTS- (2) years IT experience with extensive troubleshooting skills.
- Operational knowledge of Server, Unix, Unix Server, and VMWare.
- Data Center experience preferred.
- Experience with network monitoring and introductory level administration.
- Prior working knowledge in a ticketing system.
- Would prefer that the candidate have held a position in the past requiring accurate execution of procedural business behaviors for a large organization.
- Data Center procedural experience (NOC).
- Experience using date center monitoring tools.
- Experience following and maintaining procedural documentation.
- Position will be located in Frankfort at Cold Harbor.
