Mech Maintenance-FacilityDescriptionJOB SUMMARY: To maintain, troubleshoot, repair, relocate and set up facility centric equipment, machines and systems.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:I. Analyzes mechanical malfunctions to perform a variety of repairs on equipment such as factory air compressors, hoists, cranes, elevators, doors, exhaust systems, dust collectors and hydraulics vehicle gates by disassembling and locating the cause of operational difficulties and repairing or replacing worn or broken parts.1.Works from general procedures and in accordance with standard or recognized methods and repair practices to make decisions regarding diagnosis of trouble, replacing parts and assembling to OEM tolerances.2.Confers with Maintenance Management concerning problems found, repairs needed and faulty operational practices.3.Document work performed as required.II. Adjusts and aligns sheaves, clutches, brakes, and rebuilds compressors, hoists, door and door gate drives and exhaust systems. Conducts inspections on equipment and reports findings regarding additional work and repairs to leadership.III. Relocates and positions equipment. Operates cranes, hoists, forklifts, cutting torch, block &tackle, moving trucks and heavy jacks when repairing or setting up machinery.IV. Operates drill presses, grinders, band saws and uses hand tools in repairing and installing machinery and equipment.V. Uses measuring tape, micrometers, calipers, levels and other measurement devices in performing duties.VI. Responsible for quality of own work. VII. Performs other related duties as required.QualificationsEDUCATION:High school education or equivalent. Requires the use of blueprints, diagrams and service manuals to perform tasks. Uses shop math and measuring instruments.
