Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

This role will serve as a subject matter expert to the business and their partners, collaborating cross-functionally to develop and execute the Personalization strategy. Serve as a strategist and internal evangelist for Personalization. Collaborate and drive the Enterprise Personalization vision and execution, lead in the identification, design, development and implementation of Personalization efforts including the use case building, creation and testing of more personalized and meaningful user experiences for each consumer across all channels, products and platforms.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supports personalization strategies in partnership with key Synchrony platform clients to elevate relevance of customer experiences

  • Manages personalization team and works collaboratively across enterprise and with broader digital marketing and servicing teams to drive direct response marketing.

  • Drives personalization channel enablement strategy, working with different teams to activate personalization capabilities across customer funnel

  • Manages personalization platform vendor relationships

  • Directs and monitors project activity for an assigned Business Platform or Function:

  • Leads and participates in meeting and task force activities to identify project goals, gains consensus on project steps, schedule and implementation procedures and estimates project costs; fosters cooperation and involvement from support team.

  • Interviews users to identify and analyze needs; develops a project plan and provides input to recommendations for request and/or problem resolution.

  • Identifies internal and/or external resources to ensure successful project completion.

  • Assists with or prepares project implementation steps and documentation as appropriate; ensures a smooth implementation of project; resolves problems.

  • Drives performance management and provides thought leadership to A/B- multivariate testing.

  • Participates in project evaluation against estimated plans and costs; provides continuing support and service as required.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 7+ years digital performance marketing campaign management experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 10+ years of digital marketing experience

  • 4+ years direct experience with digital, analytics and marketing technologies; preferably personalization capabilities

  • 4+ years managing teams

Desired Characteristics:

  • Excellent team skills; flexibility to pivot with strategy, regulatory and market evolution; and proven ability to work cross functionally, as well as within own function

  • Proven collaborative skill sets, experience developing plans and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Creative and Resourceful: proven ability to problem solve, develop and execute a range of recommendations to meet business objectives

  • Facilitation and problem-solving experience

  • Strong project management & communication skills

  • Agency, e-commerce or direct experience in consumer financial services with exposure to credit card or retail environment or other heavily regulated industries

  • MBA

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time or as needed

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
