We are curently hiring for a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator.Strives to remove barriers in achieving excellent pharmaceutical care by participating in organizational and departmental performance improvement efforts and facilitating effective communication relative to these initiatives.
Works to strengthen existing systems, processes, policies and procedures by introducing new ideas that lead to improved patient care in clinical areas of focus as well as the pharmacy department as a whole.
Formulates and implements policies and pharmacy standards of practice supporting high-quality clinical services
Develops quality assurance and medication use criteria for medications.
Influences medication use and identifies opportunities to provide optimal medication therapy to patients.
Prepares audit reports for review by appropriate oversight group.
Participates in the formulary management process. Communicates and implements decisions of the team and/or the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee including outcome measurement and follow-up.
Utilizes effective listening and communication skills. Maintains supervisor awareness of personal and team activities affecting the department.
Participates in medication incident reporting, tracking, follow-up and prevention.
Collects and analyzes data from Clinical Services functions and collaborates with appropriate individuals to implement needed improvements and monitor results.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.Note: These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Completion of relevant PGY-2 residency or three years of practice experience in clinical area of focus + completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 residency
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Computer skills – Word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentations
Experience in the provision of formal education and/or as a preceptor for pharmacy students and/or residents
Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Kansas within four months of employment
