Job Description
The Sales department implements strategies to achieve sustainable sales and financial results, maintain and grow customer base, and pursue profitable growth in the buildings business while evaluating potential projects for profitability and mitigating risk.
The Estimator II role provides support to the growth strategy, assist builders, architects, and end customers by providing up front product knowledge, pricing, details, and technical support.
- Utilize the company’s proprietary pricing and design tools to provide timely, accurate and optimal quotations and pre-order assistance to the regional builders
- Generate and provide voluntary value engineering alternates to promote company products
- Communicate and discuss with regional builders on accurate scope of the proposal inclusions and exclusions
- Time management - Prioritize tasks and manage multiple quotes to meet varying customer requests
- As a member of high-performance work team, focus on achieving department objectives, profitability goals, and striving for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help creating cost effective and efficient solutions
Qualifications
- Associate degree or 2-year technical degree
- 3 years of progressive experience in estimating, project management or related field
Preferred:
- Advanced certifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an estimating or sales role
- Experience in estimating, clarification or project management of pre-engineered buildings systems
- Thorough company product knowledge and knowledge of key internal and external contacts
- Proficient in use of company engineering software, brand process and pricing systems
