- Conduct Welder certification testing, document and maintain results.
- Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Program robotic weld cells.
- Work closely with Robotic Weld Technicians to improve weld quality, optimize cycle times, and improve throughput.
- Seek and develop new robotic initiatives for manually welded products.
- Train associates on all welding procedures.
- Coordinate tooling and fixture builds.
- Develop and support Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Write routine reports and correspondence and provide senior management with department reporting as required.
- Comply with requirements as outlined in the company handbook and OHSA.
- Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e. IATF, ISO 14001)

- Technical qualifications in welding.
- Possess a 2-year Welding Technology Associate Degree or a 4-year Bachelor Degree in Welding Technology/Engineering.
- Possess a minimum of one (1) of the following certifications: CW - Certified Welder; CWI -Certified Welding Inspector; CWE - Certified Welding Educator (Instructor); CW Eng - Certified Welding Engineer.
- AWS or CWB certification.
- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a Fabrication manufacturing environment.
- Superior knowledge of GMAW and GTAW welding process.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints; operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- In the habit of working in a busy and complex environment, staying calm under pressure.
- Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written.
