This is a unique opportunity for a Machine Assembly Technician in our Center of excellence new manufacturing facility in Waterloo, Iowa. This is an opportunity to join a highly successful business with advancement opportunities. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented person with strong technical mechanical aptitude coupled with proficient organizational skills, and outstanding people skills. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assembly of different industrial equipment (Flaking Mills, Roller Mills, Pellet Mills, Crumblers, Horizontal Coolers, Gyro Sifters, Screw Feeders, Shredders, Scales, Gladiators and Conditioners)
Operates heavy mechanical process equipment, hand tools, power tools, jib and overhead cranes
Follow production schedule and meet production and quality goals
Perform root cause identification and corrections as necessary.
Maintains safe and clean working environment.
Comply with CPM safety policy
Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1-2+ years of work experience in an industrial environment
Must be able to work independently with little supervision
Ability to read and understand work instructions and mechanical blueprints
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
High attention to detail & good communication skills
Good math skills and the ability to convert from English to Metric units
Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they apply to an industrial facility
Possess a sense of urgency and maturity to get the job done
Experience that gives you a Plus:
Transmission Assembly experience
Electrical Wiring experience
Weld (MIG & TIG)
Forklift, jib and overhead crane experience
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous improvement.
