We are rooted in our mission and believe you will be too.UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball is seeking PRN Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselors who provide on-site support, consultation and provide stability to clients who are experiencing a mental health crisis.As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor you will:
Provide crisis response and intervention to clients during crisis calls in the community or home settings where the crisis is occurring.
Play a key role in providing case management services for clients according to program policies.
Build a support community by developing and maintaining professional working relationships with other mental health practitioners, case managers, law enforcement officers, school personnel and hospital personnel.
Complete required paperwork and maintain client files in accordance with program rules and policies.
Ideal Candidate:
Capacity to professionally relate to a wide variety of clients, as well as a desire to serve as a client advocate.
Ability to practice good verbal and written communication skills with ability to complete case notes timely.
Capacity to work with client advocates effectively, patiently and respond professionally at all times.
A self-starter who takes initiative, works with minimal supervision and has the skill set to work independently.
Ongoing passion about making a difference in the lives of those who have been touched by mental illness.
RequirementsTo be considered you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field OR
Associate’s degree in human services or related field OR
High school diploma with a minimum of two years of experience in behavioral or mental health services.
Minimum one year experience providing mental health services or human services with college degree.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Required to provide proof of insurance coverage.
