Restoration Technician

Job Description

Applied Ecological Services, Inc. (AES) is now apart of RES and we are currently recruiting for Restoration Technicians to join ourDubuque, IAteam.

Primary responsibilities include: all aspects of restoration work such as planting, seed, erosion control methods, brush cutting, prescribed burns, light equipment operation, herbicide application and various other tasks.

Preferred education is B.A./B.S. in natural resource or other related training. Position will require new employee to acquire herbicide applicators license within 30 days of start date. Applicant must be able to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis up to 50 pounds occasionally. A valid drivers license is required, in-sate driver's license preferred. Over night trips maybe required. Pay is based on experience and you must be 18 years of age to apply.

Some pre-employment screening is required. Candidate must be able to meet physical requirements of the job and, once hired, obtain certain certifications including (but not limited to) DOT/CMV physical for operating commercial vehicles and pre-employment drug screen. A copy of your 3-year driving record is required.

Additional Information

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
