Business Operations Analyst – Hospital Charge Audit Overview of Position The Business Operations Analyst - Hospital Charge Audit supports the providers, payers, and internal teams as part of our Hospital Charge Audit team. This role documents, plans, tests, and supports business processes and changes on proprietary systems in a cost-effective manner .What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Collect business by conducting interviews and facilitating meetings with the appropriate stakeholders and subject matter experts

Create clearly defined business and functional requirements and communicate them to the developers, operations teams, and business users

Track and update business needs and requirements and provide status reports to the team

Develop use cases, user stories, test plans, and test data based on the defined requirements

Perform and/or coordinate user acceptance testing

Engage key stakeholders and subject matter experts throughout the project lifecycle to resolve network, application, or system issues

Produce documentation and/or create standard operating procedures for any new and updated processes; May also perform training

Perform on-going support and first line troubleshooting of proprietary business applications where help desk assistance would be irrelevant; see issues to resolution or referrals to help desk where appropriate

What are the requirements needed for this position?High school Diploma/GED AND 4+ years’ experience as a business analyst or similar role OR

Bachelor’s degree AND 2+ years’ experience as a business analyst, process improvement analyst or similar role

Experience performing requirements gathering, testing, customer support and working with IT applications teams

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?2+ years of related experience in group/individual health claim benefits services

2+ years of experience with hospital auditing process

2+ years medical terminology & documentation experience

Excellent organizational skills with a strong focus on attention to detail

Ability to follow up and resolve issues in a timely manner

Experience in technical writing, training, and creating professional documentation

Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma and/or project management

Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as recognize when office support is needed

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and complete assignments within the required time frame
