Location: Des Moines, IA / Remote

Responsibilities:

Participate in the analysis, development, and troubleshooting of VB.NET applications, web services, SQL Server, and stored procedures
Manage code via version control and release processes/procedures
Document and work on issues, requests, enhancements, etc.
Actively listen and participate in meetings, take notes, and offer insights/suggestions
Collaboratively work with team members on projects and tasks

Qualifications:

Must have at least 5 or more years' experience programming in VB.NET
Extensive .NET knowledge & experience (VB)
Strong knowledge of SQL Server
Experience designing, building, and operating large systems with scalability, availability, testing, and performance requirements
Advanced understanding of multi-threading & sockets programming
Prior hands-on experience with operating services especially for client-server applications
Prior hands-on experience in software development as a member or leader of a development team
Able to make/recommend architecture decisions
Prior experience with the modification of existing software
Mainframe, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, ISPF, and associated support experience (preferred)
Healthcare domain or Medicaid/MMIS experience (preferred)
Experience with Agile process model like Safe Agile practices (preferred)
Excellent verbal/written communication skills; show great attitude and enthusiasm
