Each project engagement represents a new challenge that will give you exposure to new clients, business issues, technologies, and people and will involve a range of responsibilities to include: Develop solutions using cutting edge AWS database technologies.

Conduct research on differing approaches to data storage in AWS.

Knowledge of AWS Database Migration Service.

Learns all aspects of AWS Databases and storage patterns to include, Amazon Aurora, Relational Database Service (RDS), Dynamo, Redshift, Neptune, TimeSeries, Elasticache and Document DB.

Solve issues by designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions.

Partner with full stack development teams to create databases in AWS using a DevSecOps mindset and principles.

Develop data migration plans to migrate legacy on-premises databases into AWS data stores.

Work on indexing, replicating, and performing disaster recovery services across multiple AWS regions.

Writing, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining database applications using SQL or other database programming languages.

Create architecture and develop modular software components.

Monitor system performance metrics to identify potential risks/issues.

The Team The US Systems Engineering Offering delivers large scale software applications and integrated systems and assists its clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. The practice aims at developing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems. It would focus on key client issues that impact the core business by delivering operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Qualifications: Required 5+ years hands on working knowledge of AWS Databases such as RDS, RedShift, Aurora.

Experience with data migrations into AWS.

Experience with routine DBA activities such as upgrades, migration, patches, cloning, backups and recovery manager, script development and documentation.

Writing, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining database applications using SQL or other database programming languages.

Experience working in an Agile environment.

Excellent leadership, peer management, and communication skills.

Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.

Travel up to 10% annually.

Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred: Experience with Amazon Aurora.

Experience with AWS DynamoDB (preferred or NoSQL).

AWS Certified Developer Associate (preferred).

AWS Certified Soups Administrator Associate or Professional (preferred).
