Star Equipment is a 52 year old, family-owned construction equipment and supply company serving Iowa. Manufacturers we represent include Takeuchi, Manitou, Multiquip, Husqvarna and Schwing. We are looking for a Manager for our parts and rental departments at our Cedar Rapids location – 2950 6th St SW, with experience in the construction industry to help develop, lead our team, and expand.

If you are knowledgeable in the construction field and an expert at growing company revenues and increasing market share, then we want to hear from you. You must have the ability to create new selling opportunities, achieve results by properly leading and directing others, and be able to maintain positive working relationships between departments. You must have experience in the construction industry, managing inventory and inventory control software, have outstanding negotiating skills, and take personal ownership of your department and team. Must be comfortable in both retail and B2B settings and have experience at hiring, firing, developing successful teams, and providing staff training in a highly competitive environment. You have positive energy that rubs off on employees and creates a synergy of success throughout the organization

Requirements:

Valid Iowa Driver’s License, already have or can obtain a CDL

Clean Driving Record, No DUI within last 5 years

Ability to lift 100 lbs

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical

General Computer Knowledge

Management, Operations and Inventory Control experience with successful track record in the construction industry a must. EOE
