Job Description

Our 100% employee-owned health care company is seeking a full-time Senior Network Specialist / Network Administrator. The objective of this position is to ensure the stable operation of our corporate LAN/WAN so end userscan accomplish business tasks in a timely manner.

Tasks for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage and maintain servers, including email, file, print, and backup servers
  • Perform system backups and recovery
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose connectivity issues
  • Manage and maintain network appliances and network connectivity for all systems
  • Maintain networking equipment firmware and software upgrades
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide performance statistics and reports
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network upgrades and repairs
  • Serve as a mentor providing guidance and training to other Information Technology Support Staff

Qualifications

  • 2 or 4 year College diploma/degree in the field of computer science preferred
  • Considerable knowledge or five (5) to seven (7) of network infrastructure and security.
  • Cisco certifications a plus.
  • Extensive working knowledge of infrastructure protocols (DNS, AD, NTP, DHCP, LDAP, TLS, UDP, etc)
  • Superior work experience with VMWare, Hyper-V, and Veeam Backup software.
  • Exceptional knowledge of wired and wireless networks and PC operating systems.
  • Superior knowledge of security solutions, including firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Working experience supporting Exchange and/or Citrix a plus.
