This role will be responsible for prioritizing security risks across the lines of business (BU’s) GovCloud engages with inside of Salesforce. Key success criteria for this role include: driving security into all Salesforce GovCloud internal services and business customer-facing solutions, ensuring risk remediations are prioritized appropriately with system owners and management. The Security Ops. Director will be responsible for providing read-outs to the executive community of the state and efficacy of security controls for their projects, maintaining two-way communications between lines of business, business relationship partners, compliance, and the Information Security organization teams. A deep knowledge of defense-in-depth strategies is required to ensure secure protected data and the large scale complex infrastructures storing and transmitting of these sensitive data sets are met to appropriate compliance requirements and customer trust levels.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation of the corporate information security, data protection and privacy policies across the business. Manage the security processes and effectively ensure guidance in accordance to policies and procedures

Plan and manage the network certification and accreditation processes in direct collaboration with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC); Government customers, auditors and certification bodies.

Coordinate regulatory compliance activities for Data Privacy.

Collaboration with the Corporate Security and SecOps teams in governance of sensitive controlled unclassified information (CUI) and any classified information.

Management and execution of 3rd party assessment activities including Pen Testing.

Assess and develop mitigations for system security threats and risks

Serve as a cyber security subject matter expert (SME), coordinating and providing multi-disciplinary knowledge, skills, and experience in security architecture, and security management roles and responsibilities.

Provide consulting services on current and upcoming projects covering all levels of network and IT security architecture.

Respond to routine support requests from across the business; Support development and delivery of Security and Data Protection best practice training materials and process documents; Authoring and review of policy and process documents.

Review of vulnerability and patching analysis reports and management of resolution activities.

Provide additional security input on Architecture Review, Project Management and Change Control Boards.

Respond to customer queries in support of the business programs and projects.

Support Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) in any investigations or mitigation coordination pertinent to GovCloud ownership area

Manage and respond to Data Privacy and InfoSec support requests from across the business in coordination with the larger core company Security team

Provide advice and guidance to management and customers.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years of experience in Information Security, Information Assurance and/or Cyber Security space. Additional relevant experience and professional certifications will be considered

Extensive experience in the information security field designing and implementing enterprise security solutions in a global context.

Deep and broad understanding related to security covering end point technologies, applications, application hosting, physical and virtual data center hosting.

Experience with security practices such as security incident response and risk management.

Experience in the design, development, implementation and operational support of mission critical solutions in large scale environments and organizations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide range of audiences including technologists, executives, business stakeholders and IT team members.

Experience in leading projects leveraging global teams with matrix resources.

Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.

Ability to think at systems / architecture level

Proven ability in security process and organizational design; Current understanding of Industry trends and emerging threats; and knowledge of incident response methodologies and technologies.

Desired Qualification:Advanced degree in applicable field

8+ years of IT security experience working in an infrastructure or security architecture environment.

Cyber security risk management experience, e.g. conducting assessments, identifying risks, and recommending solutions.
