Also there is one or two out of state training once a year.

Job RequirementsThe APP/OJT Outreach Coordinator will work closely with other divisions. This position will develop knowledge of all source materials and references (i.e. National Training Curriclum and, Department of Labor parts 29 & 30), including federal and state laws governing the APP/OJT programs.SkillsThis position works closely and must maintain relationships with Federal, State, and local agencies and employers, in conjunction with multiple educational institutions This position isrequired to organize meetings, events, and seek out opportunities to make IDVA/SAA's presence known to maximize apprenticeship opportunities.Key skill sets•Two years in customer service training including one of the following: sales/advertising, marketing, human resources, or event planning.•Military leadership experience considered in: supervising personnel, recruiting and retention, career counselor, administrative clerk, public affairs, or various leadership roles.•Interpersonal skills.•Organizational skills.•Relationship building.•Communicate orally and in writing.Technical Proficiency•Basic computer skills required.•Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.•Developing and maintaining schedules and appointments.•Utilize electronic and online resources made available by the State of Indiana.•Internet for research into labor market information, employment data, employer research,Veteran programs and services, and social media (Example: LinkedIn).Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:Report to: State Approving Authority DirectorSupervises: This position has no supervisory responsiblities.Difficulty of WorkWork assignments involve developing and promoting new programs, managing communicationand visiting business organizations and education instituitions throughout the state. Thesuccessful applicant must be able to understand and apply complex policy and program featuresand eligibility requirements to link opportunities to the State of Indiana.Working ConditionsIn an office environment and travel to businesses conducting onsite visits to new and establishedprograms. Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle for travel. Mileage is paid atthe current State of Indiana rate. Must pass local and federal background checks.Working Conditions:Incumbent works in an office environment with frequent travel to other office settings. Someflexible working hours will be expected.
