To learn more about Berry, visit berryglobal.comAs a member of the Product Management team, the Product Manager will work closely with Sales, Product Development, Finance, R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial Development to drive product line profitability and growth in the Tubes Product Line.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions and Basic Duties:

Responsible for quoting small, mid-size and large opportunities. Process custom quote requests and provide guidance on stock business.

Gather information from Sales, Product Development, Operations, and market data to assist in the creation of new business proposals to gain profitable new business and retain current business at acceptable margins.

Assist with Profit and Loss (P&L) management, including mix management to optimize net margins

Assist with establishing and communicating the product “walk line” with regard to pricing, volume-price guidelines, sales & margin mix, cost to serve, order management, stocking/inventory levels, etc. by incorporating market knowledge and financial data and analysis

5.Prepare reports and review sales and product reports for the assigned product line / market.

Execute and follow up on annual, actionable product line tactics and coordinate tools to achieve aggressive sales and profitability requirements.

Spend time in relevant marketplaces, gathering consumer trends, habits and customer packaging.

Analyze competitive products, websites, opportunities and threats.

Identify new and existing market growth opportunities by collaborating with Sales, R&D, Product Development, Commercial Development and Operations.

Coordinate and research market and competitive intelligence. Collect, analyze and effectively communicate customer, competitive and market trends for specified products managed.

Work with the Design Center for customer specific presentations, mock-ups, and marketing collateral. Maintain accurate product specifications on website, customer-facing, and internal documents.

Prepare training documents for sales and customer service. Assist with customer product line training when needed.

Perform objective evaluation of completed projects, in an effort to assess the project team’s effectiveness on maintaining project budget, achieving the cost structure that justified the project capital, and realization of revenue in accordance with the project start up timing

Ability to create a business case / capex justification, based on a production cost study and business opportunity.

Performance Measurements:

Meeting sales and profit goals consistent with Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Achieving acceptable “Closed/Won rate” for new business opportunities.

Evaluating product portfolio to meet current and emerging customer trends and requirements.

Creation and successful communication and implementation of a market based product strategy. Successfully integrating market relevant innovation into assigned products.

Building and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments while providing assistance as appropriate.

QualificationsCompetencies Required:

Able to identify, define, prioritize, and address market opportunities using data and qualitative information.

Able to organize, coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including commercial, technical and operational.

Ability to drive new product development.

Ability to work effectively with Sales and other functional leaders to drive profitable growth.

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field. Masters or MBA a plus.

Demonstrated work experience with related Product Line, Product Management, and/or Project Development activities.

Strong Sales, Product Management and/or Financial background preferred, experience with a Consumer Product Goods (CPG), Distribution, or Personal Care company is a plus.

Knowledge of market research, marketing strategy, and new product development.

Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel and Power Point

Ability to understand customer needs and translate into meaningful messages

Capability to build/maintain excellent rapport with sales and marketing teams.

Demonstrated meeting facilitation skills.

Available for travel 15-20%
