Financial Analyst FPA

Job Title: Financial Analyst FP&A Location - Warrenville, IL 60563 - This role is 5 days a week onsite in office normal business hours. Salary 85K to 95K and good benefits package Key Points of the role: 2+ years' experience as a Financial Analyst, FP&A with budgeting modeling and forcasting ideally with technology departments, or similar role Understanding of financial and accounting principles and best practices Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports Time management and organization skills with proven ability to multi-task Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite Experience working with BI software a plus (Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) Primary Responsibilities Partner with IT leadership to create financial analyses, forecasts, and the annual plan in accordance with the IT strategy Manage and analyze IT financials and provide explanations on variances to plan/forecast, as well as provide cost optimization opportunities Partner with the Director of IT Vendor Management to identify cost saving opportunities, including contract consolidations, and establish a process to gather vendor contracts and manage the lifecycle of contracts and agreements Responsible for the financial tracking and analysis, including monthly project cost reporting, review of performance to plan, and ensuring capital and operating expenses are accurately accounted for. Identify risks, efficiencies and/or opportunities through analysis. Alert management to potential areas of exposure and recommend solutions to ensure on-plan performance Education Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred CPA a plus
