Quality Assurance Analyst

Our client has a 4 month need for a remote Quality Assurance Analyst You're passionate about ensuring that our customers receive a quality product- and you're on the ball making sure the situation is fixed in the rare occurrence they don't. Working with a team is awesome, but you're fine going solo, too. Plus, you're comfortable working in an agile environment. People describe you as "dedicated and motivated" when in comes to QA, and you're all about having an impact in the quality assurance direction CLIENT takes. Adapting to new technology isn't an issue for you, since you come to the table with an understanding of JavaScript and Automated Testing. But let's not forget "pen and paper"- you're capable of writing and executing reusable test cases, too. Location: REMOTE Essential Functions: • You'll continually be working on strategic projects defined by our product team • You'll be responsible for grooming and sizing of user stories and acceptance criteria • Sprints last two weeks o Responsible for evaluating the stories received and determining what fits in the sprint • Involved in working on test cases and documenting steps to test these new features and making sure they work effectively and efficiently • Responsible for documenting the edge cases • Responsible for participating in all scrum activities • Reviewing acceptance criteria • Manual test execution • Review test cases with developers before beginning testing during sprint o Tasks during sprint include: write test cases, review, execute in branch, and execute in the environment (Alpha/Beta production) Different types of testing we do: • Regression testing • Integration testing • Functional testing • Smoke testing • API testing We currently test using the following tools: • We develop in these languages • Node.js • C# • AngularJS • React • TypeScript • We test against these databases • MongoDB • MS-SQL Reports to: Engineering Manager Required Education and Experience: • BA/BS degree • Minimum of 3 years of experience Preferred Education and Experience: • Experience with the Atlassian platform is a bonus (Confluence, JIRA)
