Evening Custodian

Job Description

We’re seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong focus on cleanliness and detail. As the Custodian, you will be responsible for:

• Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming; may require moving furniture around manually
• Gather and empty all trash and recycling bins
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Clean windows, glass shelves/partitions, and mirrors using provided chemicals and tools
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors, furniture, and shelving units

• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders

• Perform light maintenance duties and notify Facilities Technician and Institute Director concerning the need for larger repairs to building

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 7 pm - midnight
• 2+ years of janitorial experience
• High school diploma/GED required
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Capacity to take direction
• Strong attention to detail
