Job#: 1267038 Job Description: Overview/Summary:Responsible for evaluating business needs and objectives of internal, cross-functional stakeholders as well as retailshoppers to develop merchandising and retail marketing solutions and tools that will increase revenue. This roledevelops strategic recommendations for rotational and core/semi-permanent retail marketing messaging and/ormanages the development and deployment of product/device/category displays within retail environments (COR & AGT stores, SWISs, temporary pop-ups, mobile stores, etc.) and/or third party retailers. This Manager also accommodates version variability for go-to-market campaigns, whether related to format, generational, market differences, etc This role builds strong working relationships with external agencies and vendor partners, including printers, planogramming partners, digital partners, apparel providers, etc.Job Duties & Responsibilities:• Project manage the development and deployment of a high volume of merchandising and/or retail marketingmaterials (static and digital rotational/promotional merchandising) and ensure solutions align within the fixtureand display systems, exude brand authenticity and adhere to merchandising best practices, and work across U.S.Cellular® generational retail points of distribution including retail stores, kiosks, and more.• Develop well written assignment briefs that align with the program objectives and premier retail principles.Ensure that clarity is provided around the business and customer needs for each display or experiential touchpoint.• Manage day-to-day vendor relationships (including Agency partners, fixture / display vendors, printers, digitalpartners, as well as will have key database vendors, etc.) and fosters collaborative relationships that facilitateoptimized contribution and accountability.• Understand the development and production processes in order to work with fixture/display vendors, printersand other outside vendors to deliver materials on-time and within budget parameters.• Utilize space planning and category/assortment retail planning skills to "slot" / develop thedisplay/merchandising/messaging strategies for all generational formats and versions.• Monitor associated display inventory levels; ensuring display/product availability aligns with needs.• Partner closely with our Construction team and/or vendor partners in order to ensure that deployments areexecuted in alignment with brand standards and the approved retail brand showroom design.• Convey the objectives and strategies of the retail showroom design to cross-functional partners and developclear implementation tools to ensure execution with excellence at the frontline.• Responsible for budget management for programs within both capital and expense budgets, including tracking& forecasting.• Oversee the development of planograms for all core/semi-permanent and rotational merchandising programs,and/or device/accessory launches and resets, accounting for format and generational variability, segmentation,product variance, etc., Develop frontline communications for concise delivery of marketing materials.• Ensure strong brand continuity within campaigns and across shopper channels that deliver a rich, authentic, andseamless shopper experience.• Execute additional tasks in order to meet departmental project-related or development and change objectives.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related discipline; or equivalent combination of educationand experience.• 5-7 years relevant experience• Strong understanding of retail environment and its marketing potential, including shopper and retail associatebehavior• Results-oriented and able to align performance tracking to operational, executional and creativerecommendations for future improvement.• Strong time and project management skills required to consistently meet deadlines and with an ability to breakdown complex problems into manageable goals and manage multiple complex initiatives and projectsconcurrently with varying levels of scope and urgency.• Strong detail-oriented skills organizational skills.• Ability to participate and represent the team within cross-functional teams is required - i.e. ability to work wellwith people building alliances, with internal teams & external agencies.• Effective high-impact communication - oral and written communication.• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.• Must be results oriented and able to align performance tracking to operational, executional and creativerecommendations for future improvement.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience marketing products or services through various communications vehicles such as brochures,collateral, in-store merchandising, etc.• Proficiency in reading floorplans, display engineering drawings, CAD files, etc., ensuring strategy and designalignment.• Experience working with company-owned stores, kiosks or other retail outlets.• 5 years working in a marketing or advertising agency, within a marketing/merchandising role for a retailer, orfixture/display company.• Experience overseeing the development of planograms.• Experience working with fixture / display developmentEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
