In the position of the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) you will perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations or policy. Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DAAPM) and participate in and document process activities. . Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed. Will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for a system. The ISSO assists the Information Systems Security Manager in meeting their duties and responsibilities. Responsibilities of the ISSO include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security plan.
  • Verifying the implementation of delegated aspects of the system security program.
  • Verifying all proper account management documentation is completed.
  • Verifying all system security documentation is current and accessible.
  • Conducting periodic assessments of authorized systems and providing corrective actions for all identified findings and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensuring audit records are collected and analyzed in accordance with the security plan.
  • Reporting all security-related incidents.
  • Formally notifying of any changes to a system that could affect authorization.
  • Possessing sufficient experience and technical competence commensurate with the complexity of the systems.
  • Ensuring user activity monitoring data is analyzed, stored, and protected.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A relevant Master's Degree with 0 years of experience OR a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of experience OR a Highschool Diploma/GED with 6 years of experience
  • Must have and be able to maintain an Active Secret security clearance.
  • Must have a DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification (Example: Security+ CE).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Cleared Defense Contractor (CDC) working with DAAPM, NISPOM and eMASS in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programs
  • Working knowledge of NISPOM and DAAPM
  • Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers
  • Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables. Hands on, self-starting, disciplined and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment

Salary Range: $78,600 USD - $118,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
