WEB DEVELOPER (RIAASC-20-1762-W): Bowhead is seeking a Web Developer to join our team at the Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois. The Web Developer will join a team of developers that apply specialized skills and expertise using object-oriented design programming, source code control practices and application security, authentication, and content management functions in a fast-paced software development and production maintenance team environment. The Web Developer team designs and builds web pages using various software applications, techniques and tools. This team uses C#, .NET, Visual Basic .NET, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Transact-SQL. Additionally, they also develop user interface features, site animation and special effects. The Web Developer will coordinate with web content developers and graphic designers to ensure that the project is technically feasible and will provide technical maintenance and advice on issues related to search engine techniques, link integrity, navigation, browsers, graphics and other web developments. The Web Developer will perform functionality and navigation testing, prepare technical documentation and provides technical support and administration of the infrastructure for implementation and maintenance for both the company and customer's web sites. Qualified candidates must be capable of deploying quality development concepts such as static code analysis and unit testing, as well as utilizing source control environments and understanding the theories justifying their use. All work must meet all applicable Information Assurance standards, 508 compliancy rules, database design standards as well as Government RMF application STIG requirements. About this Contract: Bowhead provides Application Support to the US Army Sustainment Command at the Rock Island Arsenal, the home of U.S. Army logistics. The work our customers do in world-wide logistical support services has a direct impact on Soldiers in the U.S. and abroad. Requirements • BA/S in Computer Science, Computer Programming or Web Design is preferred though relatable degrees may be considered for the highly qualified candidate. • Must have at least two to five (2 to 5) years' work experience in a professional developer position. • Must have, or be able to obtain prior to employment, a CompTIA Security+ CE certification. • Must have extensive experience with C# .NET, Visual Basic .NET, Visual Studio, Team Foundations Server, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server 2014, operating on MS Windows Server platforms. • Experience with database and data system development, and maintenance of testing, staging, and production-level network environments as well as software development and maintenance is required. • Experience with N-Tier methodologies and Bootstrap is a plus. • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
