Job Description

The new unit of our client, Software and Digital North America, is looking for a sales & business development manager who will be responsible for new customer acquisition for software and digital transformation services in various focus domains. The role will be responsible for pipeline development, client relationship management & own the opportunity management cycle.

This position involves regular travel of approximately 30- 50% of time both domestic and international and below are the key responsibilities.
  • Responsible for sales & business development activities for assigned solution portfolio in the NA region.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and assigned strategic account objectives.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers and relationships
  • Establish and manage relationships with client C-level executives, with an objective to drive sales initiatives and go-to-market plan to complement and support IoT & Connected Solutions business around Product Engineering, Software Platforms and IoT solutions.
  • Drive Digital Transformation opportunities with customers leveraging suite of solutions and services
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop a deep understanding of markets / customers, work with our client teams globally, and help build right set of services and business models.
  • Prospect and qualify opportunities for consulting services
  • Support Regional Marketing plan - Communication, Event Participation.
  • Align actions to department and company vision, mission, strategy and objectives.
  • Build a strong internal network and align with key players to support the delivery of projects to customers and execute deals.
  • Work with support teams to manage operational issues such as fulfilment, partner relationships, legal, billing and other compliances related topics
  • Perform quantitative analysis, and develop proposals, SOW, contract negotiations, MSA and closure, either in the capacity of assisting a larger team or as an individual contributor.
  • Develop commercial and pricing strategies for quotations with strong commercial negotiation skills to secure new business
  • Utilize strong account management skills to build effective customer partnerships, achieving high customer satisfaction
  • Business development and cooperation in the development of specific customer strategies and initiation, implementation and tracking of customer-specific marketing measures and representation at trade fairs

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in technical, life sciences or engineering field
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, partnership development, or related endeavor
  • 4+ years of experience in sales and marketing function in IT / IoT/engineering consulting services

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed, with high energy to lead activities
  • Confident and clear communicator - defend ideas with objectivity
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Extremely strong written, verbal and communication skills (including proposal writing and presentation building)
  • Experience with various onsite and offshore development models preferred
  • Possess the ability to identify right contacts, create opportunities for Account mining
  • Design thinking capabilities
  • Ability to work with ambiguities of customer requirements and vision
  • Experience in sales and marketing role in IT / IoT / Engineering services or proven record in IoT technology familiarity
  • Experience of collaborating with internationally distributed teams (US, India & Mexico).
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational and sales strategy skills.
  • Desire to help establish a new business area with a pioneering and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Highly self-motivated, results oriented (drives issue resolution).
  • Professional and positive attitude, ability to coordinate a global interdisciplinary development team.
