All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: Full-timeShift : 8am-4:30pm, Tuesday-Friday and SundayLocation: AdventHealth HinsdaleThe role you’ll contribute:The Birth Certificate Clerk is primarily responsible for gathering and submitting information to the state on all births. This position entails close communication with parents; excellent customer service skills; and prompt, neat, and accurate completion of birth details into the electronic record for the hospital as well as the state. There must be strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations and guidelines at all times.The value you’ll bring to the team:

Responsible for obtaining accurate birth information from parents after the birth of a child.

Must be able to effectively communicate with parents of newborns in order to receive the correct information to complete all required forms and submit that information to the state.

Uphold professional standards of performance and conduct. Treat all customers and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Perform other job duties as needed that may include, but not limited to preparing and scanning of medical records; answering phones within the department; assist with release of information; monitoring and reporting physician and record deficiencies.

QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

High School degree or equivalent required

Previous knowledge of working with birth certificates and/or health related office preferred.

HIM office experience preferred.

Previous work with birth certificate completions preferred.

HIM Certification preferred
