Job Description
Housekeeping Supervisor: officially we title this job aDirector of Housekeeping, but in other centers it may be called a Environmental Services Manager, or Guest Services DirectorEssential duties:
- Supervise and manage housekeeping and laundry personnel so that a clean,orderly and home-like environment is maintained in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations.
- Participate in the requirement, hiring, orienting, training, disciplining and terminating of housekeeping andlaundry personnel.
- Delegate work assignments so that all areas of the facility, including the outside are maintained
- Make frequent rounds of the facility to monitor the cleanliness and orderliness, correct any issues immediately and discuss issues with the Administrator.
- In conjunction with the Administrator, work to maintain the housekeeping and laundry budget
- Participate in inspections
- Maintain the Pest Control Program
- Perform hands on housekeeping and laundry services
- Participate in orientation and training of staff
- All other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
What we need from you:
- Experience in housekeeping supervisory/managerrole is preferred
- Prior experience working for a Long Term or Post-Acute Care setting is desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer experience in a medical setting working with IDPH regulations
- Must have knowledge of a computer-based documentation system
- Must be able to read, write in English and understand state and federal regulations regarding sanitation requirements and proper procedures.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Must pass a pre-employment physical
