Illinois, Chicago, 60611 Chicago USAJob Title: Global Practice Software Applications Manager Location of role: Chicago, IL 60606 Downtown Chicago - Hybrid role 3 days a week onsite - Must be vaccinated Duration of role: Direct hire Role - Fulltime Salary area Market rate depending on experience Key Points of the role: Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in the IT industry, leading, developing and supporting a team of software development professionals (our understanding is no coding and will evlove into a budget and management role) required Prior IT experience working in the legal or professional services industry preferred Demonstrated ability to lead high-level projects and deliver measurable results within prescribed timelines Ability to understand and reduce technical debt, increase platform stabilization, and streamline product portfolios and roadmaps Demonstrated working experience in delivering enterprise software applications using common mobile and web-compliant technologies Change Management experience; ability to build consensus and drive value. Strong experience managing high business risk projects Strong experience working with stakeholders on a global basis Knowledge of Agile and DevOps concepts preferred Prior Hands-on experience with Project Management, Agile and DevOps principles and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies Prior experience with middleware and deployment operations tools (e.g. Intapp Integrate, Biztalk, MQ Series, etc.) preferred Ready to Manage Enterprise AppDev on a GLOBAL Scale This hands-on role responsible for product design and management (e.g. software development strategy and execution) including the use of in-house developed software, commercial software and cloud-based software solutions. Oversee projects from initial concept, into analysis and through implementation. You'll develop software enhancements and new features/components, manage development projects from initial design through testing, deployment, and operations using Agile and DevOps principles, and oversee relationships with outsourced application providers. The Global Practice Applications Manager works in close collaboration with other information technology disciplines within the Firm. You'll work with a diverse software development team, comprised of a product portfolio containing assorted responsive/progressive web apps, mobile apps, and related integrations, including vendor-provided off-the-shelf and online solutions. Ensures the high availability of service as it relates to responsive/progressive web applications, mobile software, and vendor hosted systems, including the development, maintenance and communication of a Global Mobile IT Roadmap Ensures the delivery of processes and controls to ensure the security of confidential data in both the US and global locations Provides overall leadership in planning, organization and execution of products and projects as it relates to all services aligned to this role Oversees the product management of the Design, Architecture, and Development processes to align business and customer needs to shipped applications Bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the role.
