Accounting/office assistant

We are a local CPA firm based in Shamburg Elk Grove Village area.

We are looking for accounting, tax and administrative help during tax season. In office and no remote work. Should be able to communicate oral and written with clients, answer phone, make appointments, follow up with clients. Tax and accounting experience preferred but for right candidate we will train. Good opportunity for students, interns and looking for a new carrier.

HOURS

We have flexibility with hours. Our office is typically open from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. To accommodate client schedules during tax season, we often make appointments in the evenings and on Saturdays.

Coinciding with typical tax time activity, this position would start around the end of January at 25-30 hours a week and then move to about 40 hours per week in mid to late February. That would continue until April 15 and, again, we have flexibility during this period as long as we can adhere to calendar deadlines and service our clients in a timely manner.
