UX Design Lead#TM – 14999

Location: CHICAGO, IL

Duration: 4 Months Contract to Hire

Job Description:
  • This position is responsible for scoping and coordinating complex digital user experience projects; supporting a cross-disciplinary team of designers, developers, researchers and content strategists; being accountable for end-to-end delivery of digital products, including managing the costs / budget, schedule & dependencies; providing a blend of technical and user experience acumen to drive the design, development and implementation of compelling user experiences across a spectrum of internal and public tools, in partnership with business stakeholders and IT.

Required Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and have 3 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in design/user experience product/solution management or job related equivalent.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies including third party solutions, or relevant business process areas. Experience presenting case studies of engaging experiences.
  • Experience with risk management and problem solving.
  • Experience influencing management decision making through analytical and communication skills. Experience preparing concise and compelling written summaries of complex business or technical issues, with clearly defined recommendations.
  • Experience with deep domain knowledge in one or more functional areas of IT program delivery. Experience tying together solutions across systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (SaaS / PaaS (Software-as-a-Service / Platform-as-a-Service).
  • Knowledge of product-specific application architecture.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Active involvement in the Design/Developer community (AIGA, Creative Mornings or similar).
  • Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Engineering, HCI, Cognitive Science, UX, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of user experience, HCI, or interaction design experience across a variety of industries and challenges.
  • (Digital and physical preferred, print is respected).
  • Adaptability / ability to manage change.
  • Creative thinking.
  • Strategic Vision.
  • Ability to engage project stakeholders
