Organizational Development Manager
Illinois, Chicago, 60601 Chicago USAOverviewGCG is looking for a skilled Organizational Development Manager to join our Talent team ! As our OD Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and initiatives that enhance the overall performance and effectiveness of the organization. Your duties will include managing the Training and Development Specialist and working with HR Business Partners (HRBP) to support Talent Review, Succession Planning, and ongoing Performance Management initiatives.Reporting to the CHRO, the Organizational Development Manager collaborates with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop a variety of interventions that support organizational growth and development.This role offers a hybrid work arrangement , when in office you will work from our Chicago, IL Headquarters located at 8550 W Bryn Mawr Ave.What you’ll do
Use organizational data to define organizational learning needs, training gaps, and development opportunities, and create an organizational learning strategy
Lead the Training and Development Specialist to design and deliver just-in-time training, eLearning courses, and employee learning programs
Oversee the delivery of the Foundational Leadership Development Program and all future management training programs
Complete the implementation and administration of the Performance & Learning Management System
Administer performance reviews and manage the talent review and succession planning process through Cornerstone
Adapt organizational development initiatives and processes for continuous improvement and seamless integration with SaaS updates and business priorities
Provide technical troubleshooting support for the performance management systems to users, ensuring access and functionality
Collaborate with Talent and HRBP colleagues to develop educational aids and materials for key Talent Management initiatives, including but not limited to: performance management, talent review, succession planning, and change management
Partner with Talent and HRBP colleagues to write and facilitate individual development plans, provide 1-1 coaching to leaders, and evaluate the progress/success of employee development
Provide guidance on organizational development best practices—including workforce & succession planning, feedback & accountability, and change management—to GCG leaders and managers
Provide data and reports on key organizational development and learning and development programming to the CHRO
What you’ll bring
4+ years experience in learning & development, organizational development, or talent management in a corporate environment
Experience managing a small team, with a broad impact on the organization
Proven track record of successfully influencing and collaborating with organizational leaders, without formal authority
Outstanding communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple high-priority assignments
Experience with interactive vILT training platforms (Microsoft Teams preferred)
Experience with performance & learning management systems
Excellent working knowledge in Office 365
Experience in course authoring tools a plus (Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, etc)
