Security Systems Supervisor

Description Position Summary:

The Security Technology System Administrator is responsible for the management administration and troubleshooting of physical security systems and related processes and operations including responsibility for the security technology systems

Through passion for security technical performance and continuous improvement this position will play a role in enhancing and evolving physical security maturity.

Responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for physical security systems incident response and supporting ongoing support efforts for security technology.

Essential Functions:

Become a subject matter expert in our physical security software and equipment.

Train others in its use and audit its operation.

Play a role in initial escalation for incident response involving physical security technology which may require after hours and weekend work

Perform security technology evaluations of other facilities including security equipment condition and provide summary of needed improvements.

Manage security technology vendor relationships including planning auditing and instruction for vendor personnel working on-site.

Design set and implement physical security standards

Lead end to end delivery of physical security technology including but not limited to access control systems surveillance systems remote access/badging systems radio over IP ROIP and other technologies as vital to achieve critical objectives from planning through deployment

Oversee the security technology-related ticketing system requests for Building Operations to ensure response time standards and service quality is maintained

Exercise a high level of independence and good judgment in a proactive efficient and achievement oriented manner to foster positive team morale excellent customer service and solid leadership

Requirements

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Understanding of physical security technology related issues.

Strong understanding of security equipment and software as it relates to security access cameras and alarm systems.

Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.

Willingness to travel occasionally to offices domestically and globally.

Possesses strong communication skills both verbal and written

Education/Experience:

Lenel Onguard Certifications Milestone Corporate 2021R2 Certifications preferred

Experience in physical access control system administration and PACS system and device troubleshooting and resolution

5 years of corporate security or related experience
