Job Title:Sr Marketing AnalystDepartment:Marketing & CommunicationsShift:1stFull/Part:Active Regular FT (72 to 80 hours per pay period)Specialty:MarketingJob Number:2022-3573Job Description:Senior Marketing AnalystJob Summary :The Senior Marketing Analyst will develop and implement strategies to assemble data from across RUSH's operational and strategic priorities and formulate insights that will inform the successful implementation of RUSH's marketing communications strategies. The person in this role will also evolve the department's key performance measures that reflect, creating repeatable processes that summarize results, then share them inside and outside the department.The analyst will build data marts, reports and visualizations to support these priorities. The role supports clinical service area, academic and other marketing research and strategic efforts, as well as ensures reliable reporting, synthesis and analysis of data. The person in this role exemplifies the RUSH mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with RUSH policies and procedures.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborates with teams across RUSH to gather, analyze and interpret data, coordinated in marketing communication team members' planning and execution.
Partners with business owners, across marketing communications department, and extending engagement to teams in Clinical Service areas, Strategy, Finance, Access, RUSH Health, Knowledge Management and other teams as necessary. Collaborate on the best way to design analyses based on the knowledge of available systems including call center data, EMR, ERP, CRM, COMP data, patient satisfaction and digital engagement such as web, media relations and social media.
Tracks activities and ties ROI to efforts through analysis of inputs, such as contribution margin, access, marketing communications spend, marketing metrics and market opportunity. Connects marketing communications activity to revenue for outcomes and downstream activity, such as consumer, student and recruitment efforts.
Acts as interface between marketing teams and IT to determine feasibility, timelines, and cost of date requests.
Uses third party software tools and data warehouse in development of queries and visualizations. Creates data marts using the enterprise IT architecture.
Manages research activities and draws strategic and tactical insights as they relate to the organization and our target audiences.
Works with statisticians and mathematicians to design predictive models using statistical and machine learning methods that will predict outcomes
Develops analytic data sets and uses statistical software (SAS or R) to analyze data sets as requested.
Produces reports that facilitate evidence-based decisions:
Tracks and monitors return on investment (ROI) for marketing programs and reports on ongoing marketing across a wide range of online and offline advertising, conversion, and retention campaigns.
Works with Marketing and Knowledge Management team to develop new data queries and toolsets.
Prepares and presents reports on internal, environmental and strategic topics identified by senior management as determinants of organizational performance.
Member of the IT business intelligence/knowledge management team at RUSH. Maintains peer relationship and collaborative knowledge exchange with IT counterparts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in information science, computer science or equivalent technical experience is required.
Three years of experience in statistical software (e.g. SAS or R), with data science experience preferred.
Some experience in the Marketing and/or healthcare setting preferred
Familiarity with Epic EMR, Infor ERP, COMPdata, Social Media, Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction and other patient-centered information systems preferred.
Experience with financial /claims data a plus
Strong analytic, issue resolution, and facilitation skills
Demonstrated proficiency writing SQL stored procedures or queries
Able to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
Able to prioritize and multi-task to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
Able to deliver high quality, timely work product with significant autonomy
Effectively adapts to rapid changes in project or data requirements, priorities, and changing directions
Strong written and verbal communication.
Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Expertise with data and analytics tools
Expertise with Business Objects Enterprise portfolio of products, Microsoft Business intelligence tools, Tableau, or Crystal Report desired
Preferred Job Qualifications:Master's degree in admissions marketing, channel marketing, marketing, brand strategy, organizational development or a related field preferred.
