Business Systems Analyst

Business Systems Analyst Our insurance industry client has an immediate need for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join their Property and Casualty group. This Business Systems Analyst is accountable for small to medium size projects. This person will also lead analysis of business proposals, design system workflows, and serve as a subject matter expert while leading change management activities and supporting application configuration.Position Responsibilities

• Use communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills to understand and respond to business user needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify business needs, assess the impact of the change, work with the business to align the need to the base application functionality
• Experience with Postman Development and basic API Architecture
• Experience with Vendor relations (handle questions from vendor IT teams regarding API specification)
• Iterative and final testing on API functionality with the vendor
• Being able to ticket and write user stories for dedicated team
• Document the requirements, define the acceptance criteria, and walk the business through the documentation to obtain approval.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure requirements are delivered all while supporting and communicating with the business through the implementation process.
• Lead development testing through development of test plans and test cases, execution of the tests, analysis, and documentation of the results
• Work with developers to resolve any differences between the requirements and test results.
• Lead moderate complexity change management activities including training, documentation support, and production readiness activities.
• Support application configuration: lead analysis, design implementation and testing of configuration.
• Occasionally work with near-shore and/or remote QA support resources.
• Support production activities including triage, troubleshooting, data analysis, and product and compliance requests.
• Maintain knowledge of business functionality and technical platforms as business climate and technology platforms evolve.
• Remain involved throughout the entire development lifecycle (initial concept, requirement gathering, development support, testing, final implementation, and postproduction support).

• Effective, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Education equivalent to a college degree in information technology or business administration related discipline
• 5+ years equivalent in Business Systems Analyst and/or Testing (Quality Assurance) Analyst work experience
• Property and Casualty Insurance industry
