Our client, a cloud-based services company, that automates enterprise information technology operations is hiring for a
Java API Engineer to join their team located in Chicago, IL. This team is building out an automated backup solution service using Java and scripting programming languages like Bash, Ruby and Python. Responsibilities- Design and develop tools to support the cloud infrastructure, server deployment and configuration and operations automation
- Build out an automated service using REST API's
- Build Bash and Python scripts for automation
- Develop code that will be hosted across a Linux environments build for high-availability cloud services
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Object oriented programming language in Java
- Strong scripting experience using Bash, Ruby, Python
- Experience building out API services using REST
