Job Title:

Project Manager- Workday Project

Location: Chicago, IL - Onsite

Duration:

12+ Months

This position is on-site to support our campus culture and climate with the option of up to 2 days per week remote.

Job Description:
  • Facilitate delivery of the HR Workday project by ensuring the team drives commitments to completion on time and with quality.
  • Own and manage communication within and across projects, ensuring transparency and buy in on key decisions. Provide direction and guidance to functional consultants and functional leads.
  • Ensure initiatives are managed to deliver expected outcomes. Proactively remove impediments to ensure successful delivery of team commitments. Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation.
  • Understand and apply standard project management and delivery methodology and project tracking standards to build effective plans and deliver quality solutions.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency, high level of quality, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Responsible for driving communication of changes and any updates needed as a result of enhancements delivered.
  • Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other internal stakeholders, in support of the automation. Act as a super-user and leader for all HR systems.
  • Research and resolve problems, unexpected results or process flows.
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
  • Establish an efficient and auditable process for the maintenance and development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Guarantee data integrity in systems by testing, running queries and analyzing data.
  • Develop user procedure guidelines and documentation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. PMP certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated success of hands-on experience with Workday HCM implementation and integrations.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Deep HR knowledge and experience.
  • Advanced proficiency and technical aptitude and experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Cognos, and Ellucian Banner or Workday.
  • Knowledge of university or public labor organizations helpful.
